North Shore Male Choir

North Shore Male Choir: The Club Experience

The North Shore Male Choir provides a dedicated space for men interested in choral singing. Practices take place at the Birkenhead Senior Citizens' Hall, offering a straightforward and accessible venue for weekly sessions. Around 40 members gather to rehearse under the guidance of Music Director Margo Button, focusing on building a strong group sound for upcoming performances.

The choir performs concerts throughout the Auckland province and maintains a long-standing role as a fundraising partner for Harbour Hospice, having contributed over $80,000 since 2000. No auditions are required to join, making it straightforward for interested men to participate. Sessions run every Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm, with the programme open to visitors and trial attendance starting from February each year.
