About North Shore Children's Choir
The North Shore Children's Choir provides structured support for young singers through regular rehearsals that combine sectionals, voice matching, singing and breathing technique, sight-singing and ensemble awareness. Formed in 2001, the choir is open to children in the Auckland region who wish to develop their vocal abilities in a focused group setting.
Rehearsals emphasise practical skill-building while preparing members for real performance opportunities. The choir regularly appears at community events and Carols by Candlelight, stages its own concerts and has toured New Zealand cities. Members have also contributed to a professional recording for the Disney film Lilo & Stitch.
