Lyric Singers Whanganui

Inside Lyric Singers Whanganui

Lyric Singers Whanganui is an open and welcoming unauditioned mixed choir for anyone in the Whanganui area who enjoys singing and choral music. The group performs a varied repertoire that includes folk songs, modern pieces and well-known favourites, creating an enjoyable experience for participants of different backgrounds and experience levels.

The choir marked its 50th anniversary in 2022 with a special concert at Christ Church. Each year the singers direct proceeds from their main concert towards local charities such as Whanganui Women's Refuge and City Mission, adding a community focus to their musical activities.
