All About Christchurch City Choir

The Christchurch City Choir offers a welcoming atmosphere for singers who enjoy symphonic choral music in Christchurch. As a charitable incorporated society and the city's premier symphonic choir, it was formed in 1991 through the merger of the Royal Christchurch Musical Society and the Christchurch Harmonic Society. The choir focuses on high-quality performances and provides a community for those who can read music and wish to participate in structured rehearsals and concerts.

Members take part in 3-4 major concerts each year, frequently collaborating with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra. The group suits experienced singers looking for regular musical engagement in a dedicated setting, with new auditioned members accepted throughout the year.
