West Auckland District Tramping Club
We are a group of around 60 people of diverse backgrounds and ages who enjoy the natural environment of the great outdoors as a club. We tramp most weekends, normally on a Sunday, exploring the diversity the Auckland region. We occasionally travel further afield for a long weekend. We have regular club meeting where we usually enjoy a guest speaker on a range of outdoor and tramping related subjects. From time to time we hold a social event. In the past we have enjoyed themed pot luck dinners, movies/theatre nights, bowling and the night trots. Joining West Auckland District Tramping Club is not just about walking and tramping – it’s an opportunity to build fitness, meet new people, make new friends and get to know areas that you may never otherwise visit. We are a smaller club, so you won’t get lost in the crowd. We will do our best to make you feel welcome. Take a look at our upcoming outings and give the leader a ring to find out more details, or alternatively, come along to a club meeting and learn more about us. Our club is affiliated to the Federated Mountain Clubs. We also have a Facebook page where you can get a feel for what sort of things we have been up to lately. https://www.facebook.com/groups/wadtc
