The Muse Community Music Trust Story

The Muse Community Music Trust is a charitable organisation dedicated to making music accessible to all in Ōtautahi/Christchurch. Governed by volunteer musicians, the trust runs choirs, classes and workshops with a strong emphasis on world music and waiata. It provides a welcoming environment for people of varying experience levels to take part in regular music-making activities that strengthen community connections.

Sessions operate during school terms only, with multiple daytime and evening choirs held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays alongside other groups. Participants can join at any time during the term, and advance bookings are helpful to secure a place.
