Talavera Tennis Club
Talavera Tennis Club is the Capital's coolest little tennis club. We would love you to join us, use our great facilities and enjoy tennis at our beautiful, tree-lined city oasis. We offer senior club sessions, coaching and private lessons. We have a number of junior interclub teams. We hope to see you there! Has two hard courts, a practice wall and a clubhouse, with floodlights for night play. Members play casually and competitively with a number of junior and senior interclub teams. There are regular club sessions for senior members on Saturday Morning and Tuesday evening. Coaching and private lessons are available. Talavera Tennis Club is located on Glenmore Street in Northland, close to the beautiful Wellington Botanic Gardens. We have two sheltered, but still very sunny, concrete courts, as well as a practice wall for single players (but you need to book court 2 so you have enough space). The courts are equipped with flood lights and are open until 9:30pm every day - even in the winter! There are senior club sessions each Saturday (morning and afternoon) and Tuesday nights. Our clubhouse has a small kitchen, changing rooms and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating with views of the courts - perfect for watching friends or family play. There is free parking on Glenmore Street, and the 4316 bus stop is literally just a stone's throw away! The club is a five minute walk up from Wellington Botanic Gardens, and a 10 minute walk down from Kelburn Village or the Northland shops (down the Governor Road/Rigi shortcut).
