Positioned in Parakai, Auckland, our club was formed to address a noticeable absence of Rotary presence between Kumeu and Silverdale. This area, encompassing towns like Helensville, South Head, Kaukapakapa, Waitoki, Woodhill, and Wanui, is experiencing significant population growth. Recognising this as an opportunity, we adopted the satellite club model to establish a strong Rotary foothold in this vibrant region. Our location allows us to connect with local residents and businesses, ensuring our initiatives are tailored to the specific needs of these dynamic communities.

As a satellite club, South Kaipara Rotary offers a unique experience within the broader framework of the Henderson Rotary. While we share the same core membership, our meetings are held separately with a more informal and efficient format. The South Kaipara Rotary Satellite Club has organised fundraisers such as harvesting and selling organic Nashi Pears, assisting with stocktaking at a local Parakai store, and preparing Kanukas for sale. A highlight was our 2018 project at Parakai School, where we revitalised the school orchard. This involved significant efforts like transporting soil to elevate the ground, building sturdy planter boxes, and planting numerous fruit trees, creating a sustainable asset for future generations.
