The Shinbukan Koryu Bugei Dojo Story
With guidance from Dr. Robert Higginbotham, Shinbukan Koryu Bugei Dojo supports individuals interested in authentic classical Japanese martial arts. The club focuses on traditional training methods that emphasise technique, discipline and steady progress. It welcomes those new to the practice as well as those with prior experience, providing a structured setting for skill development in Tauranga.
Where It All Happens
Training takes place at the Legion of Frontiersmen Hall, 165 Elizabeth Street, Tauranga Central. Sessions run for two hours on Monday and Thursday evenings from 18:30 to 20:30. The central Tauranga location makes it straightforward for participants from across the Bay of Plenty to attend regularly.
