The Redwood Club was established in 1989 and is administrated by the Redwood Day Care Charitable Trust, a non-for-profit organisation. It operates from Red Wood hall, 83 Redwood Avenue Tawa, which is owned by Tawa Union Church. Redwood Club provides a happy, caring, safe environment for members of the community who would benefit from the stimulation and support of a balanced day activity support programme. Meals and transport are provided. This club is administered by the Redwood Day Care Charitable Trust. High quality professional care is administered by registered nurses, caregivers and volunteers. Eligibility: Must live in Porirua Basin - i.e. Johnsonville to Plimmerton and must be assessed by a GP and Care Co-ordination Centre Porirua Capital & Coast Care Coordination Centre, as requiring day activity support. Self referrals are accepted. Target populations: Adult population suffering from dementia, disabilities or isolation. Languages: English and Samoan Fee structure: Covered by CCDHB or MOH. Donations are sought for funding transport to and from the club. Physical access: Suitable for those with disabilities, limited for wheelchairs Travel information: Transport provided.
