Meet New Friends at Probus Club in Paraparaumu Beach
Join Our Monthly Probus Gathering in Paraparaumu Take part in a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded retired and semi-retired individuals at the Probus Club of Kapiti Coast. Our monthly meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month at 10 a.m., offering a perfect chance to keep your mind active, expand your interests, and build lasting friendships. Hosted at the Ocean Road Community Centre in Paraparaumu Beach, these 90-minute gatherings are designed for those aged 50 and above who value social connection and engaging activities. Whether you’re new to the area or a long-time resident, everyone is welcome to join us for a morning of inspiration and camaraderie. Immerse yourself in a typical meeting that includes a short ten-minute speaker, raffles, morning tea, and a captivating main speaker to spark conversation and ideas. There’s no entry fee for the monthly meeting itself, though becoming a member of the Probus Club involves a one-time joining fee of $8.00 and an annual subscription of $25.00, subject to membership availability. Application forms are available through the Club Secretary. Beyond the meetings, our Probus community offers additional activities like occasional dinners, educational visits (where partners are invited), and interest groups such as dining, gardening, film, books, and wine appreciation.
