Porirua Wine Society
A wine tasting and appreciation society which meets monthly on the second Tuesday of every month from 7.30pm - 9.30pm. The aim of the society is to introduce members to a wide range of wine types, from New Zealand and around the world. The monthly tasting sessions include a speaker from a New Zealand winery or wine importer. The club is low key; supper is served after the tasting session. First two meetings $5, thereafter an annual membership fee of $25 and $15 per meeting payable on-line prior to or on the night. Travel information to Wellington Powerboat Club rooms, Onepoto Road, Titahi Bay. Go through Porirua towards Titahi Bay - just as Titahi Bay Road leaves the sea and just before Onepoto Park, turn right on to Onepoto Road and the Powerboat Club is the large brown building on the seaward side just before the road proper finishes.
