Orewa Bridge Club: The Club Experience

At Orewa Bridge Club, we provide a welcoming space for bridge lovers to enjoy competitive play in a social setting. As one of the most active bridge clubs on Auckland's North Shore, our venue fosters a sense of community where members and visitors can engage in duplicate bridge sessions held three afternoons and two evenings per week. Our affiliation with NZ Bridge ensures high-quality standards, and we host three tournaments each year to keep the excitement alive. The energetic and innovative committee organises several popular social events, adding variety to the experience.

We are open to new members and visitors who have played bridge in the past. For those eager to learn, our annual beginners' lessons offer a great starting point. Sessions are structured for ease: Monday and Friday afternoons start at 1.00pm (be seated by 12.45pm) with Sandy Regan as partner steward (09 426 2008); Tuesday evenings feature gentle duplicate for juniors at 7.00pm (seated by 6.45pm, no partner required); Wednesday afternoons at 1.00pm (seated by 12.45pm) with Bronwyn Walker (021 022 80940); and Thursday evenings at 6.45pm (seated by 6.40pm) with Amanda Richards (027 303 6458).

Members and second club members benefit from a table money account in the BridgeNZ system for seamless deductions, while visitors pay $8 in cash per session. This setup makes it straightforward to participate in our bridge club activities, whether you're a seasoned player or just dipping your toes into the world of cards.
