Held every month at the Alpine Club in King Edward Park, this 90-minute gathering is a fantastic opportunity for outdoor lovers aged 18 and above to connect, plan, and share their passion for nature. Whether you’re into tramping, kayaking, skiing, or rock climbing, these meetings are the perfect place to meet like-minded individuals and learn about upcoming trips happening every second weekend. From day walks to overnight tramps and family-friendly outings, there’s something for everyone, regardless of fitness level. Held exclusively for members, this event is completely free of charge, making it an accessible way to dive into the club’s vibrant community. You’ll get updates on activities, hear about volunteer roles in search and rescue, and discuss access to Kapuni Lodge—a private hut on Mt Taranaki available for hire at just $10 per adult ($5 for under 13s) for members. If you’re not yet a member, joining is easy with fees at $65 for seniors/families or $30 for juniors under 18.
