The relatively flat layout suits players of varying abilities, making it an ideal spot for regular rounds or casual visits. Two golf carts are available for hire by arrangement, adding convenience for those who prefer them. The club runs ladies’ club days on Tuesdays at 10am, with men welcome to join, and offers Thursday twilight events starting at 5:30-6pm during daylight saving in a 3-person 9-hole Ambrose format. Since 1974, the club has focused on creating a welcoming atmosphere for the local golf community in Southland.

Located at 248 Craig Road, Mataura 9774, the club sits on 40 acres just 5km south of Mataura in the Gore district. This Southland setting provides a peaceful environment for golf enthusiasts looking to play in a scenic, tree-lined landscape. The course’s position offers easy access for those in the surrounding region, supporting both local members and visiting players who appreciate the straightforward yet engaging layout.
