The club was reformed in 2022 and began operating from a modest 4x5 metre mat space in a Napier garage. Today it provides regular training for children, youth and adults across a range of experience levels. Coaches Jaye Rio, a black belt, and Yukako Mori, a blue belt, lead sessions that cover fundamentals through to more advanced techniques. Weekly classes are available for kids aged 5-7 and 8-10, youth aged 11-14, adult beginners, intermediates and advanced practitioners, as well as separate women's classes and open mats. Fees operate on a simple weekly subscription basis, making ongoing participation easy to manage.
