The Golden Bay Choir creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for anyone with an interest in singing. This community choir brings people together through shared musical experiences in a relaxed setting that suits a range of participants.

As a non-auditioned SATB choir, it focuses on the enjoyment of singing rather than formal selection processes. Members explore music spanning several centuries while building connections with fellow singers in the local area.

Where It All Happens

The choir is based in Puramāhoi, Tasman, and holds its regular sessions at Puramahoi Hall. This location provides a practical base for rehearsals and supports the group's connection to the wider Golden Bay community through performances.

Rehearsals take place every Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm, giving members a consistent time to gather and prepare. The choir typically works towards one main concert at the end of the year as well as one or two community performances.
