Foveaux Harmony Chorus

What to Expect at Foveaux Harmony Chorus

Women who enjoy singing can take part in four-part harmony without accompaniment at Foveaux Harmony Chorus. As a member of the worldwide Sweet Adelines organisation, the chorus performs a repertoire that ranges from traditional barbershop arrangements to modern music. Members have the opportunity to entertain audiences in Invercargill and at other locations while working on vocal advancement and building whanaungatanga. Rehearsals focus on developing harmony skills in a supportive group setting, with performances providing practical experience for those who wish to share their singing.

Location and Directions

The chorus is based in Invercargill, Southland, where it rehearses every Thursday from 7pm to 9pm at The UFS Hall, 84 Tay Street. This central venue suits local singers and makes it straightforward for visitors to attend. The location supports regular participation and allows the group to perform both within the city and at events elsewhere in the region. Women interested in trying four-part harmony singing are encouraged to visit, particularly during the February Open Month when new participants are especially welcomed.
