Held on the second Tuesday of each month at 10am (except in January), these gatherings take place at the Waikanae Community Centre on Utauta Street, Waikanae. Designed for those aged 50 and over, our Probus club offers a perfect blend of friendship and intellectual stimulation for both men and women in the community. Whether you’re a retiree or simply looking to expand your social circle, you’ll find a warm welcome here. There’s no entry fee for visitors—simply introduce yourself at the door, and we’ll take care of the rest. For members, the annual subscription is just $25, covering the calendar year. Imagine spending 90 minutes immersed in meaningful conversations and fascinating topics. Each meeting kicks off with a welcome and club announcements, followed by a 10-minute member talk on a personal interest or experience, sparking lively Q&A sessions. After a refreshing morning tea break ☕, a guest speaker presents on a current topic for 30-40 minutes, with time for engaging discussions. Our special March meeting includes the AGM and the cherished Evan Thomas Memorial Debate, featuring talented student debaters from Kapiti and Paraparaumu College.
