Members contribute directly by participating in mist-netting and passerine banding sessions, which support scientific data collection on local bird populations. Our structure emphasises collaborative decision-making, with evening meetings at Te Papa’s collections building on 169 Tory Street serving as the primary forum for input on activities and strategies. Held on the first Monday of each month (except January and June) at 7.30 pm, these sessions allow everyone to voice ideas for casual field outings and reporting protocols.
