Ashburton ARC offers a welcoming environment for people passionate about amateur radio in the Canterbury region. The club focuses on bringing enthusiasts together to share experiences, technical knowledge and the enjoyment of radio communication. Members value the regular opportunities to meet in person and stay connected through scheduled on-air activities, helping friendships form naturally around a shared interest.

Whether you are new to radio or have been involved for years, the club provides a relaxed setting where all are welcome to participate at their own pace. The emphasis is on practical involvement and community connection within the local area.

Where It All Happens

Based in Elgin, Ashburton, the club holds its monthly meetings at the Ashburton Aviation Museum Club Rooms at Ashburton Airport. This convenient Canterbury location supports easy access for members from across the district. The second Monday of each month (except December) sees the group gather at 19:30 for updates and discussion.

A weekly Monday night net at 19:30 on 438.9MHz Fusion and 144.6MHz keeps members in touch between meetings. Contact person Danny Ainsworth can provide further details on attending or taking part.
